The unique area of the Upper
Buffalo River readily lends itself to a beautiful day of
rock-climbing excitement.

Ozark Wilderness Works'
experienced instructors begin by teaching the rudiments of
rock-climbing: basic knots, belay and rappel techniques, climbing
communication, safety procedures and moving on the rock.

New climbers are challenged with increasing degrees of
difficulty, as the day of instruction progresses. With the challenge
comes a lot of fun, as well as a satisfying sense of achievment.

For the experienced
climber, advanced rock-climbing protection and techniques, and a tour
of the best climbing sites in the Ozarks provides a rare
satisfaction. Our goal is to make rock-climbing fun and safe for people
of all ages and experience levels.
